Below are a few recipes for making night creams yourself. They are very effective and also inexpensive. Maybe one or the other recipe seems a little strange to you at first, but you should just try it out and be surprised by the result!

1. Night creams made from aloe vera, milk and olive oil

Night creams made from aloe vera, milk and olive oil

The first recipe for homemade night creams is very easy to prepare. This cream is rich in vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids, which leads to excellent results in reducing dark circles.

Aloe vera is a great natural moisturizer that will keep the skin moist without making it look greasy. In addition, the acidity of the milk has peeling properties and works without irritating the skin.

Together , the three ingredients provide natural fats that have an intense moisturizing effect.

ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of aloe gel (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (16 g)
  • 2 tablespoons milk powder (30 g)

preparation

  • Mix the aloe gel with the milk powder and olive oil until the mixture has a smooth consistency.
  • Wash your face and neck with neutral soap and lukewarm water.
  • Now apply the cream to your face and massage it in gently and in circular movements for a few minutes until it is completely absorbed.
  • The next morning, wash your face with neutral soap and lukewarm water.

If you want, you can also make a larger amount of the cream and then store it in a well-sealed plastic or glass container. It is not absolutely necessary to store the cream in a cold place, although this can give a pleasant feeling of added freshness.

2. Avocado and egg night creams

Night creams made from avocado and egg

You may not find the second of our recipes for night creams convincing right away. But you should definitely give it a try because this cream has surprising properties.

The avocado contains polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids that protect the skin.

  • The monounsaturated fatty acids keep the upper layers of the skin moist, so your complexion looks healthy and soft.
  • On the other hand, the polyunsaturated fatty acids protect against sun damage and symptoms of skin irritation and inflammation.
The egg yolk contains fat and cholesterol, which has a beneficial effect in treating damaged skin and wrinkles. And the protein is great for moisturizing the skin and reducing the size of your pores.

ingredients

  • ½ ripe avocado
  • 1 raw egg

preparation

  • Mash the avocado until you have an even consistency.
  • Add the egg and mix everything well into a cream. You can of course also use a mixer for this.
  • Then apply the cream to the clean face in a circular motion.
  • Wait a few minutes before bed for the cream to dry a little.
  • Wash your face with a mild soap the next morning.
  • Use this cream twice a week for a moisturizing effect and reduction of wrinkles and fine lines.

Remember to store any leftover cream in a clean, well-sealed container in a dry and cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.

3. Night creams made from orange and yogurt

The third of our homemade night creams has a wonderful scent and a very pleasant consistency. The organ peel contains vitamin A, potassium and antioxidants, all ingredients that reduce signs of fatigue, wrinkles and fine lines.

Add to this the moisturizing and brightening properties of yogurt, lemon juice and turmeric, which complement the orange as ingredients. Together they make a cream that is perfect for more mature skin.

ingredients

  • The grated zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder (15 g)
  • ½ cup natural yogurt (100 g)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (5 ml)

preparation

  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl until they have a creamy consistency.
  • Wash your face with a mild soap that is suitable for your skin type.
  • Then dry your face and apply a thin layer of the cream.
  • Leave the cream on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with water.
  • Use this cream every evening for a particularly good effect.

As the cream contains lemon, it is not recommended to leave it on the skin all night. If that’s what you’d like to do, skip the lemon juice during preparation to avoid skin irritation.

Honey is kind of a miracle cure for the skin because it has antibacterial properties and a large amount of antioxidants. The coconut oil contributes a delicious fragrance, suppleness and other antioxidants.

ingredients

  • ½ cup coconut oil (100 g)
  • 3 tablespoons of honey (75 g)

preparation

  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them gently.
  • Then heat the mixture in the microwave until it is liquid.
  • Warm the cream between your fingertips for a few seconds before applying it to your face.
  • Now apply the cream to your face and neck using circular movements.
  • Leave the cream on overnight and wash it off the next morning with neutral soap and water.

You can keep leftovers of this cream in a tightly closed plastic container. You don’t have to reheat them every evening. This is only necessary for the first preparation so that the ingredients mix well together.
