Making tiramisu is not difficult at all. You have to be patient, but it will be worth it!
Tiramisu is a delicious Italian dessert that has delighted foodies around the world since its invention in the 1950s. When you look at the ingredients, it’s not hard to see why: mascarpone, coffee, liquor, and cocoa powder.
Of course, you can also make tiramisu with other types of cheese that are fresh and creamy. For the bottom layer, use ladyfingers or other biscuits. The black coffee is important : it has to be quite strong so that the dessert gets the right taste.

The following recipe is for up to six people. If you have more guests, you can increase the ingredients as you like.
- 4 eggs (240 g)
- 1/2 cup sugar (100 g)
- 3/4 cup of coffee (180 ml)
- Cocoa powder (to taste)
- 4 cups of mascarpone (400 g)
- 2 cups of grated dark chocolate (200 g)
- 1 large packet of ladyfingers (200 g)
preparation
The preparation of tiramisu is very easy. You will need to be patient, however, because it takes about an hour. But it’s fun and then it tastes really wonderful!
- Make 180 ml strong coffee and let it cool.
- Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites to form snow.
- Beat the egg yolks and sugar until frothy.
- Then slowly add the mascarpone and stir everything well.
- Now you can fold in the egg whites.
- Place a layer of ladyfingers on the bottom of a rectangular bowl and soak them in coffee.
- Brush with a layer of the mascarpone cream and sprinkle with half of the grated chocolate.
- Then add another layer of ladyfingers, soak again with coffee, brush with another layer of mascarpone cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
- Finally, sprinkle with cocoa powder and leave to rest in the refrigerator for three hours. The next day the delicious tiramisu tastes even better!
